Seclusion

Seclusion
We are meant to be social creatures, interacting with others and enjoying our time on this planet. This can work well for most, but for some it can be an exhausting experience. The introverts of the world find solace in being by themselves. Using that time to regenerate their social batteries and unpacking their crowded minds.
For most of us, the idea of being around others in times of hardship can be intimidating and exposing. We don’t want to be seen when we feel vulnerable and weak. In this instance, we choose to isolate and hide away from the world, working through our emotional states of mind, as negative as they can be. Seeking a place of safety where we can remain until we feel internally safe to be seen again.
Both situations warrant the need for being alone. The difference is created in how long we choose to stay in this place. Remaining for too long can be detrimental and exiting too soon can create inner turmoil. Finding a balance for this will allow a place of seclusion to be a haven that you can visit as time and circumstances permit. It can be a place to rejuvenate and remain calm until you can rejoin the world and all it has to offer.
