Threats

An old steel watchtower rises over the edge of Alcatraz Island, its frame now silent, its purpose long retired. Once used to scan for danger and escape, it now stands as a relic of a mindset rooted in vigilance and control.

Watchtower explores the stories we tell ourselves about the world. Stories shaped by fear, by caution, by the belief that danger is always near. The media amplifies threats, shaping our perception before we even step outside. Sometimes our own friends and families unknowingly add to this, becoming voices of warning instead of encouragement. The result is a mind trained to expect harm and overlook possibility.

But fear is not truth. It is only one perspective. When we begin to shift our view, we start to see more than risk. We see potential. We see opportunity. We remember that life is not only about avoiding what might go wrong. It is about noticing what is already good.
