Meerkats are social animals that reside underground and operate in large groups, commonly referred to as mobs. During the mob's foraging activities above ground, a single meerkat assumes the role of a sentry, diligently scanning the surroundings for potential predators or hazards that may pose a threat to the group's safety.

As human beings, we often become preoccupied with our daily routines, rendering us incapable of recognizing impending dangers or issues until they are too close to evade. We tend to regard ourselves as the most intelligent life forms on the planet while perceiving animals as less sophisticated and uncomplicated creatures. However, if we shift our focus from differences to similarities, we can gain valuable insights into our own lives and the essential components required for a fulfilling existence.

For years, I found myself trapped in an endless state of fight or flight, a hidden realm where danger lurked around every corner. Little did I know, this suspended state of mind was robbing me of the greatness life had to offer. My creative process and my art, my personal talismans, serve as gentle reminders to never make a home in those darker places. To embrace the beauty and excitement that life has in store. With each click of my camera and each finished piece, I take another step towards a life fully lived.
