An old sandstone church stands quietly among the Croatian islands, its warm surface worn by time and salt. Possibly a century old, it radiates stillness. A place untouched by urgency. A space that invites breath, pause, and rest.

This image captures more than architecture. It captures a feeling. A moment of gentleness in the middle of movement. While travel feeds the part of us that seeks discovery, stillness feeds the part that needs to feel.

Travel has always been a core part of who I am. I am an adventurer drawn to unfamiliar paths, driven by the thrill of new experiences. John C. Maxwell once asked, “When was the last time you did something for the first time?” That question continues to guide me.

But discovery is not always found in motion. Sometimes it is found in the quiet spaces in between. In taking a moment to notice where you are. To honour the distance you have already travelled. To feel thankful for what you have seen and who you have become.

This building reminded me that rest is not a break from the journey. It is part of the journey. And there is peace to be found in simply being still.
